PROGRAMS
After School Feeding Program
To end Child Hunger, we must work together to provide access to food for everybody especially to children who are disadvantage and overlooked. Providing meals after school can provide dinner for a child who might not have food at home.
Steam Program
STEAM experiences involve two or more standards from Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and the Arts to be taught AND assessed in and through each other. We use an integrated approach to learning which requires an intentional connection between standards, assessments and lesson design/implementation.
Summer Feeding Program
Summer food service programs, also called summer meal programs or summer lunch programs, are free meal sites that help kids and teens up to 18 years of age when school is out in June, July, and August. Appetite 4 Humanity offers free meals at safe, supervised places in the community like churches, schools, libraries, parks, and community centers.
Robotics Program
Appetite 4 Humanity has a robotics challenge held each year that is designed to excite young students in grades K-8 about engineering. Children will design, program, troubleshoot, test, and improve their robots. We believe that all children should have equal access to opportunities, therefore there is no cost to participants to join the challenge.
Agriculture Program
Youth Agriculture Program has been providing at-risk youth with opportunities to experience success as they develop transferable job and life skills through the growing, harvesting and marketing of plants and vegetable crops. This program brings together the best of all worlds: growing fresh healthy produce, essential job skills training for local youth, environmental sustainability & community involvement.
Sports Program
Keeping kids healthy and fit all year round. Appetite 4 Humanity teaches the importance of physical health to a community trying to combat childhood obesity. Youth basketball is offered during the fall and winter months. Youth baseball/softball/t-ball is offered during the spring and summer months. Youth football is offered during the fall months.
